Plugins - Autorespond (vacation reply, forward, and filter editor)
Category: Vacation

Autorespond is a vacation and forwarding plugin that attempts to provide a very clear interface for managing a .forward and .vacation.msg. Features include:
  • FTP-based access to user homes using IMAP auth credentials, simplifying installation and avoiding the need for a setuid app
  • editing your vacation message and subject
  • emptying out your vacation reply cache
  • including your squirrelmail From address in vacation replies
  • passing alias addresses to vacation
  • managing multiple forwarding addresses
  • retaining mail locally, either through a filter (e.g. "|procmail") or direct routing to the inbox (e.g (\\user)
  • sending all incoming mail to the user's trash folder
  • simple configuration of all messages and paths to adapt the plugin to your unique environment
  • simple to enable or disable all features
  • a growing list of translations

Version 0.5.1
by O'Shaughnessy Evans on Sep 11, 2007
[ autorespond-0.5.1-1.4.tar.gz tarball (36168 d/l) Help ]
Requires: SquirrelMail 0.5 or above

Description:
- Improved conformance to squirrelmail plugin coding guidelines.
- Added automatic setting of From header in vacation file using the From address defined in the squirrelmail prefs. Thanks to Tomasz Witek for the patch.
- Added Japanese translation, but having trouble getting it working. Thanks to Yasuhiro Suzuki for the translation.
- Removed use of the compatibility plugin. I'm told that the use of sqgetGlobalVar means this plugin will only work with squirrelmail 1.4 and newer. If anybody wants the compatibility plugin integrated back in, please let me know.

  • Untarring problems: Your browser might have un-gzipped it for you automatically. Try just "tar xvf" instead of "tar xvfz". Also, the plugins archive isn't gzipped (it is a tarball of .tar.gz files)
  • Macintosh users: Just hold down your mouse button to get the menu instead of right-clicking.
